...looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. -Hebrews 12:2

On the days that I do not feel the all-consuming-burning presence of the Holy Spirit, which is every day, I have to go to Him. I go to the Father as the first action in the morning, no ifs ands or buts to be alone with Him, to pray:

Praise

Repent

Ask

Yield

I was recently reminded of the above Scripture; Hebrews 12:2 and I had to ask myself, "What is YOUR joy... set before you!?"

"What are you setting your eyes on in Eternity to fuel your desire to willingly present yourself-this life, as living sacrifice to God? "

What is the joy that you are looking forward to in heaven? To get there we have to first overcome in this life but as Christians we never do it alone.

God has promised that He would never leave nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:8 and Hebrews 13:5) and that he would be with you until the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).

So set your heart on his promises and receive what He promised. Let that fuel your hope and then set your joy on the things cannot ever taken away which are being kept safe for you in heaven (Matthew 6:19).

Not every day is filled with suffering but some days may have a certain level of affliction. Some days are worse than others but even on the worst days, my desire is not to suffer begrudgingly (reluctantly or resentfully) but to suffer well...to suffer well and with joy because, it all matters in the end.

Yes, there will be many good days but on the bad ones I pray that you take time to remember all your blessings and give thanks! There is always something to be thankful for!

So, suffer well friend!

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
